Heute ist FATZER ausgerichtet auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und den weltweiten Vertrieb von technisch anspruchsvollen Seilen für Seilbauwerke, Seilbahnen, Win- den und andere Anwendungen und nimmt durch langjähri- ges Engagement und konsequente Konzentration auf den Markt eine führende Rolle unter den Seilherstellern ein. Gegenwart FATZER befindet sich als Teil der Gruppe BRUGG nach wie vor in Privatbesitz und führt somit das Erbe des Gründers fort. Es hat sich zu einem starken und gesunden Mittel- standsunternehmen mit globaler Präsenz und einer interna- tionalen Belegschaft entwickelt. Seit 2012 arbeitet Fatzer in einem vollständig neu gebauten Werk mit modernster Technik und optimierten Produktions- einrichtungen. Die 1‘660 Solarkollektoren auf dem Dach des Gebäudes haben eine Kapazität von mehr als 374‘000 kWh pro Jahr und liefern genug Strom für 80 Haushalte. Sie re- duzieren die CO 2 -Emissionen um 205 Tonnen pro Jahr. In the early stages, hemp ropes were manufactured for agriculture, fishing and shipping, with steel wire rope production being added around 1900. Nowadays, FATZER specializes in the development, ma- nufacture and global distribution of high-quality steel wire ropes for structural applications, ropeways, winches and other applications. With a long history of meeting specific market needs, Fatzer is recognized as a leading rope ma- nufacturer. Today As part of the BRUGG Group, FATZER is still privately ow- ned preserving the legacy of the first owner. It has develo- ped into a strong and healthy „Mittelstand“ company with a global presence and an international workforce. In 2012, Fatzer moved into a brand new, purpose-built production facility, utilising state of the art equipment. The 1´660 solar- panels on the roof of the building, with a capacity of more than 374´000 kWh a year, supply enough electricity for 80 households and reduced our CO 2 emission by 205 tons a year.
